Description

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 0.5 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  2. Slowly stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for about 5–6 minutes, allowing it to reduce by 1/3.
  3. Whisk in grated Parmesan cheese and continue to cook over low heat until cheese melts and the sauce thickens, about 2–3 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir frequently to avoid burning or separating.
  5. Remove from heat and serve immediately over your favorite pasta.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 1 month. Reheat gently over low heat, adding a splash of cream if needed to restore consistency. Great with fettuccine, linguine, or pappardelle. Try adding sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or grilled chicken for variety.
