- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Return the cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce. This dish pairs well with a crisp white wine like Sauvignon Blanc or a light salad on the side.
